Mai and I left her place around 7.20am after driving back and forth for a while, since Mai forgot her camera and I badly needed coffee - so many needs. Makeup-wise, we didn't do anything fancy, in fact I only put my foundation on the minute we arrived in Pasadena. As soon as we found a relatively cheap parking lot, we rushed to the convention center and were given our press passes. What a glory, they mixed up each and everybody's URL. Great organization, IMATS staff, as always.

Amy's hair, she has a lot of it
They officially opened the gate at 8.30am on Saturday, however, we were let in a little earlier and immediately rushed to the Sugarpill booth to grab the IMATS-exclusive eyeshadow along with some other goodies. The staff was still busy setting up the displays. That was the last time I saw the halls nearly empty. Later that day it was impossible to not stand in line for hours, especially the Sugarpill booth was crowded like they gave out freebies or were the only exile for zombie apocalypse refugees. I was super excited to swatch the new colours and damn, there's a lot to launch soon. Two new palettes and five loose eyeshadows. I didn't swatch the palettes, though, as they didn't appeal as much to me as the neon loose eyeshadows. The bomb dot com and even better, I can't wait to finally order them as soon as they're available online. I spotted Michelle, Yume and Amy, we talked for a bit, but were constantly being interrupted by people who wanted to take a picture with her. It was crazy, but I'm so thankful I finally met her after the NYC IMATS disaster.

Mai and I strolled around and eventually met the other bloggers/vloggers, Mandy, Heather (cutie pie!), Dawn and some YouTube gurus I didn't know. I was picked up by Sushi at 1pm, since I had pretty much seen everything that was on my list and couldn't take the crowd anymore, it was jam-packed and I'm socially super awkward, as soon as I feel uncomfortable in a crowd, I stop talking and look pissed, haha.

Fo'sho IMATS L.A. was way better than the New York event, but since it takes place in winter '13 (instead of summer) and thus destroys my travel plans, I might go to the London show only/instead.
