Often times, I edit photos for the blog despite never publishing them (and I realize that throughout the editing process and bang my head against the wall). That specifically applies to my FOTD shots. The reason is obvious: I usually don't like how I look in pictures. However, it's a waste of time to keep those pictures back, since most of the close-ups are pretty useable and I never have the motivation to wear them same lens twice. I do one FOTD per lens. I have far too many lenses and way too little time to try pulling off a certain kind over and over again. And I'm angry at myself, as I owe most of my sponsors a proper review and nice pictures, thus I thought a collective post with brief information would do the job.
In anticipation of this year's Euro Cup (= soccer) and the German national team's success, I felt like doing a fake ara series look. These days you can find tons of looks featuring our national flag's colours (black, red, gold) on German blogs and I sadly had to fall for the combination as well, since I badly wanted to show you Speciallens' latest range addition: the Designer series, circle lenses inspired by ten leading fashion designers and created by Vassen. I'm really not a fashion junkie, but as soon as I caught a glimpse of the Anna Sui lenses, I knew I had to have them. And here they are. They consist of a pretty unique pattern: six tiny hearts. I haven't seen anything comparable to this before and I love how they create the most stunning halo effect even on light eyes like mine. If only they were a little more opaque, these could be easily called a combination of both circle and cosplay lenses. The comfort level is great and they're crazy enlarging at 16.0mm in diameter (and a little difficult to put in, I admit it).

In spite of immensely darkening my eyes, I'm kinda fond of Vassen's MS Gucci in blue. The Gucci Blue have a "flourish flower-star pattern with white coloring at center to give you maximum enlarging effect" *nods* Vassen produce quality lenses, which I can easily tell by how comfortable the lenses are.
