Summer Gem

Being neither a fashion blogger nor a fashionista, I was more than surprised to be offered a gorgeous necklace by DSK Jewelry. I remember when she first launched the store and I did know about it, but frankly I'm a disaster jewellery-wise, as I wear nothing but dog tags, thus I never paid any real attention to it. Then again I'm picky because I used to have nothing but Swarovski necklaces (and I still do), I'd never wear anything else (think fallalery), hence I was extremely happy to see Steph works with those precious gems only.

The Pretty Crystal beauty (55$) arrived wrapped in a clear plastic sachet in a strongbox protected by polyester pads. Accessorily, she included Hello Kitty candy in its individual cardboard envelope as well as two business cards and a handwritten note. Steph clearly put a lot of thought into the overall presentation.

The necklace is a stunner, I haven't felt so girly in a long time because honestly, I don't consider myself 'girly' despite wearing make-up and wearing colourful clothes. I don't behave like a typical girl, either, I rather am one of the boys dressing girlish, though. Jewellery adds something very special to both my appearance and character I mostly can't deal with, I feel exposed and defenseless and vulnerable. Obviously, I struggle with a psychological issue deep down I can't define yet, but it's the main reason why I love dog tags, they give me control over what people might think of me (not that I cared, though).

If those pendants came with a necklace way longer than 16" (45cm), I'd absolutely go ahead and stock up on 'em because each and every design completely won me over. Something else I highly respect and admire is the engraved silver 'DSK Jewelry' tag, how much more detailed and customized could a necklace be? You'll definitely see me wear this in my next FOTD,
