Old vs. new
When I started blogging at the age of thirteen (Livejournal times), I had nothing but my digital camera and often had bad camera days, resulting in a lack of feedback on my blog. People love high quality pictures and so I put more effort into taking pictures of myself, I improved my make-up skills, I paid attention to little details and here we are. I now have my DSLR, people enjoy the high quality, yet I'm still not satisfied with myself despite all the comments I receive - they just encourage me to get better and better. There's never a finish line, one can ALWAYS improve, writing style-wise, picture-wise, content-wise, design-wise.
Old vs. new
Anyways, to cut a long story short, I wanted to present you some awesome blogs of people that I dare to call my 'blogger friends', people that inspire me and also blogs of people that deserve more attention, people who are unique and need to be integrated better.
Starting with my blogger BFF (I'm German, we're allowed to use such cheesy terms), the wonderful Suchada, rather known as "Sushi" in the blogosphere. She's currently in the process of moving and thus doesn't have time to blog, but from what you can tell from her post history, she really got what it takes to be a beauty blogger. She dares, she's got super pretty features and a good taste in cosmetics. What bothers me the most is the lack of followers, she's such a sweet, caring person who I want to be more known!
Next up is lovely Mai, a determined, adorable girl who already found her 'way of blogging', she definitely has a routine, but never ever disappoints with her posts because she isn't like 'colourful rainbows, cotton candy-coloured clouds and unicorns jumping around'. I especially love her lips, they're luscious and she just can pull off any colour existing. Additionally, she was the first beauty blogger I ever talked to, she supported me a lot when I started with like two followers, I felt (and I still feel) very honoured to be read by such a down-to-earth pretty person.
Blair is my Malaysian angel. She has the cutest face I've ever seen and just recently started getting into circle lenses. I love talking to her because we would switch from lenses to food and back to lenses and back to food and eventually end up talking about masks. Everybody's got their obsessions, so we got ours. She already topped the stats with more than 1,000 followers, but there's another 1k people who haven't subscribed to her yet.
I just started getting 'in touch' with Nymphette. It freaked me out that she commented on one of my posts, I would have never thought she'd pay attention to what I do because she's so out of my league. Being the well-known, drop-dead gorgeous blogger that she is, I really found it easy to get through to her despite her having a solid, strong internet persona, it's impressive how she manages to be so easy to talk to yet doesn't reveal too much personal information. That's exactly how I always wanted to be, but uhm yeah - I failed lol. She does these incredible FOTDs and has this awesome rainbow halo on her head that just SCREAMS for attention and people fall for it - with good reason.
Mandy is a pure sunshine, she transmits so much of her charisma that it kills me whenever I read her blog and check her flawless FOTDs. She's a very loyal commenter of mine and I never took the time to check her posts, but then I did and now I'm the loyal commenter in return. She's on the rise right now and I'm so glad and relieved about that because this girl rocks.
Last but not least: Grey, which I assume simply everybody knows. She writes fantastic yet critical reviews on mostly indie companies, which always inspire me to purchase a bulk of new eyeshadows or other awesome indie stuff. Also, she has her 'It's Friday, I'm in love' series where she features her favourite blog posts of the week and already often linked back to some of my posts, which I'm super thankful for. I often considered doing the same, like, posting my favourite posts of the week by other bloggers, but that's her thing, therefore I won't touch it.
Sweethearts in a nutshell: Grace, Clara, Emy, Qoqo, Noxin, Vicky, Yumeko, Cindy, Lisa, Jiawa, Mathilde, Julie, Lena and Nana.
