The blogosphere made me find out about brands I never expected to exist, that especially goes for indie brands or professional ones, which are only accessible or important for/to make-up artists. The Make Up Store is one of the latter, it's a very professional, high-end yet M.A.C-priced line from Sweden with a classy black look and way more exciting colours than M.A.C carries (and it beats M.A.C in terms of pigmentation as well). I first stumbled over their fantastic range at Somerset mall in Singapore. My best friend was with me and patiently kept track of my shopping bags while I was in cosmetics heaven.

Especially their false lash collection made me lose my breath, I blogged about my treasures a while ago, however I didn't do a look with any of these yet, since they're just too precious to me to be destroyed by messing up a dramatic FOTD, which the lashes are obviously meant for.

Loose pigment dust

... even more
So, I totally freaked out when the official website announced the opening of the first German MUS store here in Berlin, 10 minutes away from where I live. I immediately ran off to the opening, joined the club and re-purchased some essential products like cream blushes, etc.! Their products are just too beautiful to be part of the 'insiders only' world, I want to share the mesmerizing colourfulness with anyone interested.

Cream highlighters

Loose mineral powder

... which is similar to M.A.C's Magically Cool liquid powder

The brand carries loose pigment dust, pressed micro-mineral eyeshadows, creamy mattes, highlighters, loose blush powder, pressed blushes, pressed compact powder, liquid foundation, lipsticks with all sorts of finish, nail polish, candles, skincare stuff, I really just picked a few remarkable products to swatch and review, especially the rather 'famous' ones, which everyone would run off to swatch first (also known as eyeshadows and lipsticks, haha).

Glitter eyeliners

... which have some stunning duochrome features

The friendly staff allowed my equipment and me to conquer their store for about four hours, which I spent with swatching, chatting, gazing and taking pictures. And this is just a teaser, I especially adore the glitter bokeh pictures. I can promise you a kick-ass review to come, which could make some of you go insane due to the impossibility of actually tracking the items down. I checked their store locator for the United States, where they have two stores only whereas it's four to five in Singapore. This is crazy!

A teeny-tine excerpt from their giant nail polish range

Pressed blushes

Mineral loose blushes
I was invited for a MUS event taking place next Tuesday. The theme this time is Showgirl, named after their current collection consisting of seductive, mysterious, alluring dark mattes and cream highlighters. The guests will receive a free makeover and I'm gonna get some nice pictures for my readers. Of course I already know exactly what kind of make-up I'll wear.

My favourite product: the loose glitter dusts and rhinestones

How I mopped the store's floor...
While swatching I destroyed a brand-new tester of their famous liquid foundation and it spilled all over the floor. Immediately, I was given a mop and found myself actually cleaning the floor of the store. At least I didn't have to pay for the broken foundation yet this was kinda... weird, especially since both SAs made over 12-year-old, incredibly naive girls, which talked about applying for a traineeship at the store and whatnot, it was hilarious. I did it all for the sake of this blog *laughs*

Lipstick finishes: matte, satin, velvet, glossy

Intense glitter dust

Rhinestones for nail art retailing for 13€

Lipgloss pots

The store offers a member card for non-professionals (5% discount) and for certified MUAs (40%), however while shopping at one of their events, everyone will receive 40% off their entire purchase, ... my wallet will explode next week.
